Empreender é necessário / Entrepreneurship is necessary

Hoje recebi um email de um Chefe Escoteiro muito interessante sobre o porquê das comunidades locais terem problemas para desenvolverem-se.

“- As pessoas repetem o que sempre fizeram. Porque existe algo desmobilizando a sua criatividade e a inovação, em geral uma cultura que não as encoraja a fazer nada diferente do que já foi feito e, pelo contrário, infunde o medo de que empreender é muito arriscado e pode trazer prejuízos, e por isto alguns tem ‘Saudades do Passado’.

- As pessoas permanecem na condição de beneficiárias passivas. Porque foram transformadas em pacientes de programas assistenciais que já vêm prontos, desestimulando o enfrentamento coletivo dos problemas comuns.

- As pessoas ficam esperando recursos que vêm de fora. Porque tais recursos são sempre obtidos pela intermediação (clientelista) de algum benfeitor em troca de certo tipo de apoio (em geral eleitoral), substituindo a cooperação que alavanca recursos da própria comunidade pela competição por esses recursos de fora (para ver quem os conseguirá e quem deles se aproveitará). Será que não temos competência para resolvermos nossos problemas?

- As pessoas desconfiam uma das outras, não acreditam na capacidade das outras de fazer alguma coisa que beneficie a coletividade.

- As pessoas e as organizações se relacionam verticalmente, em uma escala de subordinação, preocupadas o tempo todo com sua posição de poder e com sua capacidade de mandar. Ficam também à mercê da vontade de algum político poderoso para o qual não interessa a troca de informações e a articulação em rede da população para fazer qualquer coisa autonomamente.

- As pessoas não participam das decisões sobre os assuntos comuns e nem são chamadas a colaborar para a realização de ações que dizem respeito aos destinos da comunidade.

A única maneira de libertar a comunidade dos efeitos dessa cultura - apassivadora, competitiva, hierárquica e autocrática é adotar práticas contrárias, ou seja, insuflar o empreendedorismo individual e coletivo, a cooperação, as redes e a democracia participativa.”

Because something exists demobilizing its creativity and innovation, in general a culture that does not encourage to make anything different of what already have been made and, oppositely, creates the fear that entrepreneurship is very risky and it can bring damages, and because of it some people have ‘past’s homesickness’.

- People remain in the condition of passive beneficiaries. Because they had been changed into patients of assistance programs that are already made, discouraging the collective confrontation of the common problems.

- People are waiting resources that come from outside. Because such resources are always gotten by someone’s intermediation, some benefactor, in exchange for certain type of support (generally electoral), substituting the cooperation that raises resources from the own community by the competition for these resources from outside (to see who will obtain them and who will take advantage of it). Don’t we have capacity to solve our problems?

- People distrust each other, do not believe in the others’ capacity to make something that benefits the collective.

- People and organizations have a vertical relationship, in a subordination scale, all the time worried about its power position and its capacity to control. They are also at the mercy of the will of some powerful politician for which does not interest the exchange of information and the population’s joint in networks to make anything independently.

- People do not participate on the common subjects’ decisions and nor are called to collaborate for the accomplishment of actions about the community’s destinations.

The only way to free the community from the effects of this culture - passive, competitive, hierarchic and autocratic is to implement contrary practices, that is, to stimulate the individual and collective entrepreneurship, the cooperation, the networks and the participative democracy.”
